The Green into Leighton Road Stoke Hammond

Reported via desktop in the Blocking a private drive category anonymously at 21:46, Friday 9 June 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4653441.

Most weekends. i.e Friday, Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes and evenings and some evening in the week. Cars are parking all along The Green from the shop to the pub and along Leighton Road up to BrookFarm close. They are opposite the junction of Bragenham side and the garages and parking exit for cars on the Green blocking the view of anyone trying to exit these areas. They are also blocking the view of people exiting the houses on the Green as you have to pull across the road to see if anything is coming from the other way. Some cars are even parking on the public footpaths see attached photo. We have also this evening had cars using our private driveway as a turning area. There is constantly cars beeping their horns as cars are pulling out and another car is already coming along the road. This irresponsible parking has only started since the Dolphin pub reopened. There is also the issue that this is a pub and it is questionable as to whether the cars are being driven legally. I would urge the highways department to do some checks with the residents in and around the area to ask their opinions on the current parking and maybe ask the police to regularly patrol the area before there is a very serious accident here.
