Mimosa Court and Ellen road / Walton court area

Reported via mobile in the Open spaces category anonymously at 09:09, Friday 9 June 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 1 week, 6 hours, 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 4649921.

I just would like to report that everywhere in the area where grass has been cut it is a hazard for trips for people walking on the grass as it was cut when it was very high and there is quite a volume of cut grass which hasn’t been collected. I know this is the practice for urban areas but then I would expect it to be cut more often. Most importantly my dog yesterday inhaled a very dangerous type of grass (wall barley) which is everywhere when grass does not get cut for a while. I had to run to the vet, he was very poorly and bleeding and risked to choke. This put him in danger and it is my main concern in a way I know am worried to walk my dog because this could happen again. I had to pay 130 pounds at the vet to treat him and this is the least of my problems at the moment but I also pay a council tax and I am quite disappointed. I hope something can be done to make the area dog safe and not only for dogs. All that cut grass is also a fall hazard for people. Thanks for your attention and kind regards

  • An officer will carry out an inspection within the next 10 working days and arrange to have the issue resolved as soon as possible after that.

We can confirm that our grass cutting programme for this year has commenced.

Please be advised that we are unable to give specific dates for urban grass cutting. Our works programme is very weather dependant and subject to delays. We therefore ask that you remain patient should there be delays or excessive growth in-between cuts.
