Footpath blocked and road access restricted

Hoarding has been erected to block pavement, and half of the road width, to allow for delivery and storage of building materials and car parking. The road is not very wide at this point, causing difficulty for refuse collections and similar vehicles to get access to properties further down the road. Concrete has also been spilled onto the road and pavement, and flushed down the drains.

  • This has been passed to the local area technician to investigate the enquiry/issue regarding the footpath/pavement/cyclepath.

    They will carry out an inspection within the next 10 working days and if required arrange to resolve the issue.

  • Update

    The issue/defect has been made safe with a temporary repair. A permanent repair will be made when resource is available.

    Please be assured, we will continue to monitor the area in line with our Highways Safety Inspection Policy.
