Severe overgrowth along Grays Park Road
Reported via desktop in the Weed problem on the highway category anonymously at 18:38, Wednesday 31 May 2023
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4616672.
All along Grays Park Road, the overgrowth of the grass verges and along the left hand side of the footpath is terrible. It is riddled with stinging nettles which makes it difficult to walk and with a pram, the footpath is almost inaccessible. A person with mobility difficulties will certainly not be able to take a walk along here, it is so overgrown. One cannot pass another while walking along the footpath due to the overgrowth on the verges and all along the side fences and panels. PLEASE SORT THIS OUT so that we can enjoy our village in this lovely weather rather than have to risk our lives by walking in the road!

As Highway Authority, we need to make sure verges remain safe, this is particularly vital at road junctions where clear visibility for motorists and pedestrians is important. We have a schedule for grass cutting across Buckinghamshire,
First cut of 2023:
Urban grass started w/c 17 April and will end w/c 19 June
Rural grass started w/c 17 April and will end w/c 5 JunePlease note, planned dates may be delayed due to weather conditions.
Second cut of 2023: To be advised, we will update the Buckinghamshire Council webpage with the date as soon as possible.
In addition, we will continue to monitor all issues on the public highway as part of our Highways Safety Inspection Policy and take appropriate action when required.
