Grass cutting for no reason

Reported via mobile in the Cleaning/Sweeping category anonymously at 18:25, Friday 26 May 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 5 days, 14 hours, 59 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 4601070.

Please could I ask the council for clarification as to why you have mown the entire green space in the middle of Chesterfield Crescent on 26th May decimating the buttercup, daisy and dandelion flowers in peak bloom for pollinators? There is no risk to safety nor visibility so it makes no sense. Surely there should be other priority areas or could have been some areas left?

  • An officer will carry out an inspection within the next 10 working days and arrange to have the issue resolved as soon as possible after that.

We can confirm that our grass cutting programme for this year has commenced.

Please be advised that we are unable to give specific dates for urban grass cutting. Our works programme is very weather dependant and subject to delays. We therefore ask that you remain patient should there be delays or excessive growth in-between cuts.
