Safety hazard - cars parking on part of footpath outside 44 Watchet Lane

Reported via desktop in the Parking on a footpath category anonymously at 14:27, Tuesday 2 May 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4508703.

One or two cars parked regularly with approximately half of the footpath obstructed over the last 6 weeks. There is not enough room for two people to pass each other safely. It has been noted that sometimes people have stepped into the road to avoid each other as they pass the car/s. Examples are: a woman with a pram who had to put two wheels into the road, a schoolgirl stepped into the road when a child came past in the other direction, an old man with a stick stepped into the road when a person opened the boot of a car as they walked passed. Also, it is possible that the problem has been exacerbated by recent extension to the drive (without lowering of the kerb stones).
