Audi FT07CDX

Reported via mobile in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 17:05, Wednesday 26 April 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4489583.

Parked for 6 weeks in a dangerous position. Two parking tickets issued but since disappeared. I have reported this numerous times on Fix my Street. Today you emailed me to say "no further action to be taken". I spoke to someone in Waste several times as directed by your switchboard. Following your email today, which was unhelpful and somewhat terse , I was told by the gentleman I spoke to that the council does not have the powers to remove abandoned vehicles if they are taxed and insured, which this car is. So I contacted Thames Valley Police again who told me the information given to me was categorically untrue. The council chooses where double yellow lines go, the council employs the traffic wardens and this is the council's responsibility. They also told me that if a car is parked for 3 weeks or longer it is ABANDONED. PLEASE MOVE THIS CAR BEFORE THERE IS AN ACCIDENT. In my opinion it is parked in a dangerous location and has been there for long enough to warrant some action. If it is still there next Wednesday I shall write a piece for the Bucks Free Press catalogueing the number of times I have contacted you via Fix My Street, telephone and now your website, this misinformation I have been given and the atrocious email response.
