The pot holes are north of Audley Chalfont Dean on Rickmansworth Lane
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category by Paul Rowley at 14:38, Tue 25 April 2023
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4484587.
On Sunday evening 23rd April at approximately 8.30 I was driving along Rickmansworth Lane (road?) and the pot holes were not visible as they were full of water as it was raining. I drover over the first hole and straight into the second. Both crated a massive bang and jolt to the car. I stopped to find the front tyre completely deflated. I have an 18 month old Fiat 500 with 8200 miles on the clock. I have replaced the tyre and having the steering checked this coming Saturday. To date I have expended £158 and expect more expense when the steering is checked. I will be making a claim for all the repairs once complete.

This has been passed to the local area technician to investigate the enquiry/issue regarding a pothole/road surface.
During winter months we receive a very high number of reports regarding potholes or a poor road surface, it's easy to assume that potholes are formed due to roads being poorly maintained but that is not usually the case. There are many factors that can cause potholes, particularly during the winter months when water seeps in through cracks in the road surface, collecting underneath and when the water freezes, it expands and forces up the road surface in through cracks in the road surface.
Our priority is always the safety of road users, so in some cases during busy periods a permanent repair is not always possible immediately. However, temporary repairs are a way to ensure the area is safe until such times as we can return to make a permanent repair.
