Road markings dangerous

Reported via desktop in the Road lines / road markings category anonymously at 08:41, Tue 18 April 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4454263.

The right turn lane on the A404 at this junction is frequently cut by vehicles travelling in the opposite direction around the bend. There are two factors here: the road marking are worn and indistinct, and also the centre crosshatching is dotted line bounded, not solid line, which is insufficient to warn drivers that if they cut the corner they can run head-on into oncoming traffic in a right turn lane. This junction is a fatal accident waiting to happen. Ideally the oncoming lane shoud be protected by a traffic island.
