The White House Winslow Road Little Horwood MILTON KEYNES MK17 0PD

Reported via desktop in the Street nameplates category anonymously at 10:05, Wednesday 12 April 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4428313.

According to the Post Office, properties near the railway bridge in Little Horwood have a Winslow Road address, e.g. The Hollows Business Park, The White House, Winslow Road, Little Horwood, MILTON KEYNES, MK17 0PD. After the railway bridge the road becomes Little Horwood Road, Winslow. Could we please have signs indicating the correct positioning of the junction between WInslow and Little Horwood Roads. Google maps shows Little Horwood Road incorrectly starting by the old airfield. This means that delivery sat navs stop at the airfield. Deliveries are being missed tor misdirected to the inconvenience of residents. A Winslow Road sign by the airfield might help as well.

Updates

  • We as a new council are in the process of merging services previously provided by 4 different councils, Street Name Plates maintenance is one of these services. Our plan is to move the maintenance responsibility to the Highways Team who look after other highway signs, I am sure you can appreciate this is a huge task as every area dealt with these enquiries differently and had their own service standards and specifications. Our Highways Team will be creating one Council Standard Specification and will incorporate these assets into our Highways Inspection Policy.

Please bear with us whilst we are going through this transition, your enquiry has been received and will be actioned over the coming months. However, in the meantime any emergencies which are likely to cause danger to the public will be addressed immediately.
