Reported via desktop in the Bollards or railings category anonymously at 19:00, Thursday 6 April 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4407700.

I reported this problem on 7th March and then had a report that the matter was closed and that I had been sent an answer - which I did not see. I know it is not about a bollard but there is no category that fits the problem!! My original report said:- The Openreach telegraph pole carrying phone, fibre and power has steadily been leaning more and more over the road thus lowering the cables crossing the road at this point leading into Aston Sandford village. It is only a matter of time before the school double decker bus on this road (or another high vehicle) connects with the cables and brings them down and probably some of the pole as well thereby potentially causing an accident for any vehicle on the road. I have tried to contact Openreach about this without success as they have withdrawn all their contact numbers. If somebody at TfB has a means of contacting them could they please do so before there is an accident and we loose our phone and fibre etc in the village. The report's reference number is 40218353. Please quote this if you need to contact the council about this report.

Updates

  • This has been passed to your local area technician to investigate the enquiry/issue.

They will carry out an inspection and order a repair if required, this can take up to 20 working days. If however, a replacement bollard/railing is required, we will need to order this as we do not hold them in stock and this can take up to 6-8 weeks.
