Confusion about what lane to be in at roundabout

Reported via desktop in the Road lines / road markings category anonymously at 20:23, Wednesday 29 March 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4374469.

Many people go in the wrong lane here when travelling straight on. I have seen many cars go in the left lane to drive straight over rather than use the right lane (as directed by the road sign). As the exit is past 12 o’clock on the sign, road users should be in the right lane to travel straight on, as per the Highway Code. I have had a few near misses when people use the wrong lane and do not look properly for other cars. I would suggest road markings to delegate which lane to be in, as in the photo.
