Flooding in road and pavement on corner of the common by playground and bat and ball pub

The whole corner is flooded regularly on the corner of the common by the playground and Bat and Ball pub and has been for several months despite the corner having been dug up a number of times for works. The extent of the flooding crosses over the entire width of the pavement and over the central white line in the road causing cars to drive on the wrong side of the road at the junction to avoid splashing through the deep flood. This is a main walking route for the nearby schools and is often impassable by pedestrians wanting to avoid getting their feet wet or risking being splashed by passing vehicles. The combination of pedestrians walking in the road to avoid this flood, and cars driving on the wrong side of the road at the junction to avoid the flood is a serious hazard.
