Reporting again with photographic evidence. Both drains on Dukes Wood Avenue, where it meets Fulmer Road are blocked. They’ve been blocked for years. “Cyclical drain clearing” has missed these - I guarantee you. Flooding sprays pedestrians. It’s also flooding the lamp post next to it. Surely a major electrical hazard and perhaps serious injury case on hand
This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.

To ensure the highway network remains as safe as possible we will be carrying out temporary repairs on dangerous issues to make them safe, please be assured we will revisit these temporary repairs and make them permanent at a later date, we will also continue to carry out our regular Highways Safety Inspection Policy and should we find any issues we will apply the same rule a temporary repair until such time as we can make it permanent.
