Problem of leaking sewer water rising through water meter

Reported via iOS in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 09:17, Sat 25 March 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4356601.

Hi. I think there has been a few attempts to resolve. I think the water meter isn’t leaking it’s the foul sewage pipes under the pavement leaking when we have some slightly increased rain and the sewer pipes are full

However after last nights rain you can see from the photo that water leakage up through the water meter housing and there is no other water around on the floor

I have concerns as a neighbour that this can contaminate fresh water supplies to our houses and contravenes the EA licences many of us had to discharge from Klargester type units into the previously open ditch since filled. (Ie in terms of mixing treated foul and freshly water.)

I assume that the sewers down into the village haven’t been flushed / cleared and the building of 15 new houses may be causing some back up issues as never seen the road gulleys so full of water in 20 years of occupation

For the house adjacent to the meter the front wall appears to be increasingly subsiding due to the higher levels of ground water
