Flytipping - please don't close this without resolving

Reported via desktop in the Flytipping (off-road) category anonymously at 10:11, Tuesday 7 March 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 43 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 4288806.

I reported flytipping on this section of Bottom House Farm Lane on 13th Feb.

I've just received a notification from FixMyStreet to say that it was closed as it was reported 21 days ago and that I need to re-report. I'm unclear why it needs to be re-reported when it hasnt been resolved.

Unfortunately, since I first reported back in Feb, more waste is being added and is now spilling onto the road. I can see that someone else has reported fly tipping further up Bottom House Farm Lane also. Clearly the situation is getting worse.

It's shocking that someone would do this (repeatedly) along this road, and I suggest you may want to install a camera as evidently they keep reattending to add to the waste already there.

Please don't close this issue without resolving. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Updates

  • This has been passed to our Highways Team, who will carry out an inspection and arrange for the appropriate action to be taken.

Our priority is clearing the obstruction on the public highway to make it safe, this may mean that the fly tip is moved to the side of the road for a period of time before safe removal is arranged.

Please be assured we will come back and clear it, but in the meantime we will monitor it in line with our Highways Safety Inspection Policy.
