Dangerous obstruction on the verge
Reported via desktop in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 09:58, Friday 3 March 2023
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4278763.
Some time ago BT Openreach installed a junction box at the location, set on top of a brick and concrete platform that almost abuts the kerb. When the grass of the verge grows, this obstruction is not visible, and poses an ongoing hazard to road users who may mount the verge when avoiding a large truck. I have alerted BT Openreach more than once, with no result. However, the words CARM RAISED have been painted on the structure. This acronym I presume to mean 'critical asset risk management', so there is clearly some awareness by the company of a risk. Still nothing has been done about it. I believe that any obstruction placed on a verge is unlawful. Would you please inspect the site and take the matter up with BT. It is not an emergency, but it is a danger.

I was informed that an inspection would be made within 10 working days, a period which passed last week. Has this taken place? I look forward to being kept informed.
