Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4208345.
Thames water were there with temporary traffic lights on 19th of January going from Wendover to Griffin house school in little Kimble. Coming down to lights and on coming traffic was forced into our lane slightly due to traffic cones on their side of the road. In doing so I had to keep far to the left and both my Audi Q7 tyres on the drivers side hit the pot hole and popped. Yes, popped, not a puncture but they pop had a loud audible pop where another dad behind me called to say the extent of the damage was worse than I thought and pull over immediately. He had to take my kids to school and came back to follow me back home at 20 mph so to not damage the alloys. (I didn’t get them damaged) But we had to replace 2 ruined Audi Q7 tyres. I had to go to the states for work Sunday so I’ve only sorted the tires recently to make a claim.

This has been passed to the local area technician to investigate the enquiry/issue regarding a pothole/road surface.
During winter months we receive a very high number of reports regarding potholes or a poor road surface, it's easy to assume that potholes are formed due to roads being poorly maintained but that is not usually the case. There are many factors that can cause potholes, particularly during the winter months when water seeps in through cracks in the road surface, collecting underneath and when the water freezes, it expands and forces up the road surface in through cracks in the road surface.
Our priority is always the safety of road users, so in some cases during busy periods a permanent repair is not always possible immediately. However, temporary repairs are a way to ensure the area is safe until such times as we can return to make a permanent repair.
