Paved footpath completely blocked
Reported via mobile in the Hedge problem category by Patrick Crotty at 09:24, Thu 19 January 2023
Sent to Downley Parish Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4147831.
You have rejected original report saying “… Cannot find the location”. This paved path runs from Middlebrook Road to Plomer Hill at Saint Jameses church. The path runs through the Rennie Grove Memorial woodland. Yesterday a lady with a powered wheelchair had to leave the path and slide on a muddy slope. Her wheelchair was too heavy to climb back up the hill. This is urgent. This problem has been getting worse for months.
Updates
-
Footpath is still overgrown - all the way along the footpath from the service road up to the church. In one place, a tree is coming down across the path.

I met a local resident with his battery operated hedge cutter who told me he was fed up with lack of action by Buckinghamshire council. He was doing his best to cut back the sinner branches. The surface of the paving is still about 50% under a layer od slippery mud now that rain has started

I met a person in a powered wheelchair plus a friend here and she had been forced off the path on to slippery mud because the paved surface was almost obliterated by rotting leaf mould and moss. She could not travel back uphill because the heavy chair could get no grip. Bucks Council should be ashamed.
