Start of Norelands Drive, where resurfaced
Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 18:57, Tue 17 January 2023
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4142358.
Rainwater doesn't drain away leaving the entrance to the road completely flooded for several yards ( this problem was exacerbated by the change in camber when the road was resurfaced a couple of years ago). Problem was reported in 2021 refs 40154584 & 40163506, but past efforts to clear drains haven't resolved the issue. Winter rains mean we are again continually driving through floodwater. Icy conditions (as today) make the area hazardous to both drivers and pedestrians. Drainage system is still blocked somewhere, which needs properly sorting out urgently, as nothing has improved in 2 years. Please keep me updated.

This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
