Road Surface from Entrance to Roundabout
Reported via desktop in the Road surface category anonymously at 15:49, Tue 17 January 2023
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4141458.
The road surface from the Entrance of Samian Way all the way along to the Arla entrance (Roundabout) is full of dangerous pot holes. There are a couple on the roundabout a good 10 inch deep and if you hit them with your car or heaven forbid a cycle damage will occur. These have been filled in almost weekly recently. The only way to fix it is to replace the road surface. It is only going to get worst with the amount of HGV's increasing over the coming months. Arla's lorries are ripping it up.

This has been passed to the local area technician to investigate the enquiry/issue regarding a pothole/road surface.
During winter months we receive a very high number of reports regarding potholes or a poor road surface, it's easy to assume that potholes are formed due to roads being poorly maintained but that is not usually the case. There are many factors that can cause potholes, particularly during the winter months when water seeps in through cracks in the road surface, collecting underneath and when the water freezes, it expands and forces up the road surface in through cracks in the road surface.
Our priority is always the safety of road users, so in some cases during busy periods a permanent repair is not always possible immediately. However, temporary repairs are a way to ensure the area is safe until such times as we can return to make a permanent repair.

I counted the holes this morning from the A41 Exit coming from Aylesbury to the Arla Roundabout where arla is on the right the new buildings are on the left. I counted 16 large / dangerous holes in the road surface, some of which you could plant trees in :(
