This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.

This concern has grown now takes at least 1-2 days after rain has stopped for the standing water to drain away. As we enter five years of this concern can the new budget for this year not enlarge and add more soakaway drains along this road. Their are only two drains which are inadequate and no longer fit for purpose. The drian it's self is full to the top with muck, so I would assume the soakaway is also full of muck leaving little room for rain to soakaway.

We witnessed the drain cleaning on 13/1/2023 and as the team only cleaned out the muck at the road side drains, and didn't jet the pipe work that connects to the large soakaway on the grass inbankment opposite the drain the problem still is present. Road remains flodded We assume that the pipe is blocked and that the large holding soakaway is full of mud with restricing volume space for the water to go
