Blocked drain
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3937207.
The drain is very slow, causing a problem with the junction of Haw Lane as cars go around the flooded area on the other side of the road. The flood is also at the entrance to the bridle way ….soaks many walkers and horse riders. I’m aware this issue only occurs when it rains and very very slowly the water drains away. However, I’ve reported this before and told by the council….there is no issue. So I’m sending a photo to show you …… yes there is an issue. Please clear the drain using suction preferably before the next rainfall.

This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
