Machine will not accept phone tap or card inserted

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3541439.

Tried to pay for parking using tap NFC on my phone. The reader lit up only 3 of the 4 green lights and would not complete the payment. Tried twice.

Then tried again, this time inserting a bank card. It did not complete again and this time printed a void receipt.

Third time I tapped my bank card - this approach did work
