Fawley Bottom Lane just 10m before after new bare metal gate in direction of Fawley

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 15:10, Mon 10 January 2022

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3229863.

There are a number of potholes on this road as reported by others nearly 2 months ago. In the rain on Thursday night and driving at only 23 miles an hour this one cost me a new tyre on my LandRover Discovery. £230 inc fitting. It is about 7-8 inches deep. It doesn't matter how careful you are - in the dark and with flood water on the road these are invisible and highly dangerous. A number of other potholes further down the road have been reported to Oxfordshire CC (in their juristriction - this one is not) this morning and by teatime the holes have been marked for repair. I hope you can act as swiftly. This road has been in constant state of ill repair for the whole past 5 years we have lived here. As soon as one is fixed another is present and the fixes do not last long in winter weather. I know you do your best with these but this one is seriously dangerous. These single track roads are not often driven with such care by others unaware of the hidden dangers. And even with care it is clear that they are in such a condition as to be dangerous to vehicles. all best and thanks
