Flooding across lane at dangerous bend still not fixed!

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 16:40, Thu 14 January 2021

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2478656.

I last reported this flooding problem in October 2020. I was aware of some kind of road sweeping/drain entrance clearing machine passing by one time after that, following which I received a report asking if the problem has been fixed. I wasn't sure as we haven't had significant rainfall since then. However it is still the case that there is always a large puddle there after rain and as you can see from the photo, after continuous rain for one day the flood is now right across the road and our driveway. This forces vehicles to drive around the bend on the wrong side of the road since they cannot tell how deep the water is. From previous correspondence I understand that there is a borehole beneath the relevant drain. The drain is not working at all and probably the borehole needs clearing out, or a soakaway needs to be dug into the wood. The superficial cleaning that you have carried out has not made any difference. This is a lane that is quite heavily used as a cut through from Beaconsfield to the Chalfonts, particularly during morning and evening rush hours and it needs to be maintained to a safer standard.
