Furzefield Lane

Reported in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 09:19, Sun 30 August 2020

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2270135.

At the junction of Furzefield Lane onto Chesham Lane there are in fact FOUR blocked drains. Two on each side of the road. They have not been cleared for years as you can see they actually have grass and weeds growing out of them.

I have a video of the flooding n this road caused by water coming off the fields, I can't upload it here. If these 4 drains were cleared this water could disperse.

I don't think you appreciate how dangerous this water is on these roads. People drive in the middle of the roads to avoid the water and potholes and often dont reduce speed.

I have advised you many times of this ongoing issue. Every time you say it will be addressed on a cyclical basis.

Please can you let me know the last time these drains were cleared and what timing is in place for the next clearance?

2 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years?

Please have the courtesy to let me know.

Living on a road which is narrow, with a 40 mile speed limit, with blind bends in the road, potholes, reckless drivers and now regular flooding because you won't clear existing drains nor will you give me a timeline, is simply not acceptable.

Please do not just send a standard reply as you have before. Thank you
