Traffic island signage illumination failure (eastbound)

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 09:24, Tue 21 November 2017

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1148051.

The traffic island is on a slight bend and slight rise in the road. There is a blue arrow sign for each direction to alert drivers to the traffic island, both of which have lights to illuminate them. However, the eastbound sign is no longer lit properly, the light seems to have failed somehow, so instead of the signbeing visible from a distance it only becomes visible when headlights hit it, which owing to the curve/gradient profile of the road, is at rather shorter notice than is ideal. Reports locally of several cars clipping their tyres on the traffic island.
